The Reward program is an outlet to report information to your owner/manager directly or in certain situations report it anonymously if you like. The information can be reported to Loss Prevention professionals for a reward paid by your store, through us, to you. In the past we've "cut" checks to friends or relatives of employees without even knowing the employees names to be cashed for the reporting employee. Examples have included:
- A professional Shoplifting Team (apprehension of).
- Cashier completing fraudulent refunds and pocketing cash.
- Sales Associates stashing merchandise in the trash.
Anti-ShopLifting
Employees, other than management, assisting a person authorized to make store shoplifting apprehensions are eligible for a reward when a shoplifter is apprehended and/or merchandise is recovered. (When more than one employee is involved, the reward will be split.)
Employee Theft
While we are responsible for being alert to the security aspects of our individual jobs, there are instances when extra alertness and reporting action on your part may result in the recovery of merchandise and/or money. When you supply information about another employee stealing from our store you are eligible for a reward.
While Inventory Shrinkage can result from a myriad of causes, some of the more obvious include: unauthorized discounts or give-a-ways, fraudulent refunds, under recording of sales, cash and merchandise thefts, collusion... etc.
Credit Card Fraud
When you recover a credit card listed on your store or issuer's "Want List" you will receive a reward. The amount will vary according to the issuer and circumstances surrounding why the card is wanted.
Errors
When you provide information regarding a consistent pattern of errors resulting in loss of inventory and/or money, you will receive a reward.
Drug and Alcohol Use
When you provide information regarding use, storage or sales of a controlled drug or alcohol on company premises, you are eligible for a reward.
Vandalism / Deliberate Breakage
When you provide information regarding the abuse, vandalism or deliberate breakage of company merchandise or property, you are eligible for a reward.
Rewards
Rewards for shoplifting recoveries, where no apprehension is made, will be limited to $10. Where apprehensions are made, the following schedule will apply:
If you Recover: Up to $10
Reward: $10
If you Recover: $10 to $100
Reward: 1/2 of the retail value of the merchandise or 1/2 the amount of money recovered with the minimum of $10 and maximum of $50.
If you Recover: Over $100
Reward: 10% of the merchandise value or 10% of money recovered with a minimum of $50 and a maximum of $1,000.
Loss Prevention Services, Inc. in collaboration with your company owner will make the determination of the amount of reward, if applicable.

Reporting Information
To report information via the Reward Program, you can confidentially telephone a Loss Prevention consultant at 1(800)888-8862 weekdays from 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. central time. During all other times, the phone is answered by a member of our Loss prevention Department. Please be ready to identify your store number and random six digit number for future identification.
A suggestion.... before writing or calling, take a few moments to jot down answers to the following questions: Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How? The more details you are able to furnish, the more likely an investigation can be quickly and successfully completed; hence then payment of the reward.

Be sure to mark the envelope "Personal/Confidential", if you wish to remain COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS...
After investigation, if the information you provide results in an apprehension and the recovery of merchandise and/or money, this fact will be made known via comment in a company publication, pay envelope or employee bulletin board by your employer.
When this occurs call the 800 number below and give your six digit number or send the torn-off corner of your original letter to the above address. If you wish to remain totally anonymous, use the return address of a friend, relative or other disinterested third party.
